Ombudsman reiterates increase in pensions LAHORE: Punjab Ombudsman Javed Mahmood has taken serious notice of non-implementation of his order regarding restoration of commuted portion of pension along with increases and payment of double pension to retired employees of Punjab government over 75 years of age. He has advised Punjab finance secretary to implement his orders and issue instructions to the accountant general of Punjab to make fresh entries in pension books of pensioners crossing the age of 75 and submit a compliance report within three weeks. The ombudsman issued these orders on the complaints of a number of retired government servants regarding non-implementation of Punjab ombudsman orders on April 24, 2013 restoring commuted portion of pension with all increases. staff report dailytimes.pk/default.asp?page=2013%5C07%5C16%5Cstory_16-7-2013_pg13_3
