Omisore Rejects Election Results, Writes Protest Letter To INEC. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governoship candidate in Osun State, Iyiola Omisore, has rejected the results being speculated. He protested that it was improper for the All Progressives Congress to announce results. Omisore spoke in a protest letter personally signed by himself and addressed to the State Resident Electoral Commissioner on Saturday. According to him, APC flaunted the provisions of Electoral Law 2010 by announcing results. The PDP candidate alleged that the results being circulated around was not genuine. The letter reads in part: I hereby condemn the APC candidate, Rauf Aregbesola declaring his own version of the results without recourse to INEC. With the facts of results, its apparent that the PDP candidate, Dr. Iyiola Omisore is leading. This act of APC is in conflict with the provisions of Electoral Law 2010 whereby a candidate can concocts figures and released to confuse the public thus make this election in conclusive until facts behind the figures are released by the INEC. He, however, threatened INEC not to announce result, saying that will lead to breach of peace in the state. The peace and stability of this state is such under an unprecedented threat. The results so far by APC remained cancelled. Daily Times #MAZI KC
