Omo-Agege Promised Job opportunity for all Deltans if elected Delta State governorship aspirant, Ovie-Omo Agege, former Secretary to the State Government and one-time governorship aspirant in the State has promised to complete any uncompleted project of Governor Uduaghan if given the mandate to govern the state in 2015 Omo-Agege who was speaking during his consultative visit to Chief Emmanuel Ono Okumagba (JP) the political leader of Warri Urhobos and promised that such projects would be completed before embarking on his pan Delta agenda for Deltans. While commending Governor Uduaghan for the successful implementation of his ( Uduaghan’s) three-point agenda for the state so far and the initiative of ‘Delta Beyond Oil’ project. He disclosed that his priorities would be creation of job opportunities and housing for Deltans as well as meeting the individual needs of communities. Omo- Agege remarked that other aspirants in the contest are qualified for the Delta State number one political seat however added that he is more qualified because he has contested for the seat thrice which makes him more experience than others.” I am in the contest because of my passion for taking the state to the next level. I have seen it all. I know the political terrain of the state more than others”. In his response , Chief Okumagba commended Obarisi Omo -Agege for the visit expressing appreciation to the Ageges for their immense contributions to the development of Warri Urhobos” the task ofchoosing an Urhobo governorship candidate does not lie in the hands of the Urhobos of Warri alone but the entire Urhobos under the leadership of UPU who it is hope will do a thorough job in the selection in the interest of the Urhobo nation”.Chief Okumagba decried the age-long marginalization of Urhobos of Warri as he called on who ever emerges as governor of Delta State to address the problem” My fear is that we have too many Urhobo aspirants in the contest and this will not do the Urhobos any good.” High point of the occasion was a special prayer by Chief Okumagba for Obarisi Ovie Omo-Agege.
