Omw to black belt test I stopped by Rite Aid to get bands to braid my hair back during test. There was a homeless family outside and on my first time out I gave them a few dollars (they had a hat playing music). The guy asked about my uniform & they all wished me good luck on my test. When I was leaving I had a itching feeling and halfway to the dojo turned back around. I went and got them bread, water, pb&j, and chips. When I gave it to them I also took the time to introduce myself to them (because far too often homeless are ignored/stepped over). Why am I posting this?. ..not for accolades or pats on the back(the looks on their faces were enough)..But to say little acts of kindness take only a few minutes/dollars/energy..yet together they make a big impact. Be the light & change you want to see in the world.
