On 08-09-14 at about 7:28pm a Deputy from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office arrested Spencer Petitt, 40 years of age, from Brighton, TN for 4th Offense felony Operating Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Intoxicants. The Deputy initiated the traffic stop on Petitt as he was driving in the area of S. CTH G and E. Townline Rd. The Deputy stopped the vehicle Petitt was driving for speeding. The Deputy detected an odor of intoxicants on Petitt’s breath, as he made contact with him. The Deputy conducted field sobriety tests on Petitt, who failed the tests. Petitt was subsequently arrested for 4th Offense OWI, and issued citations for OAR and for Speeding. Petitt was transported to the Rock County Jail where he was held for jail court on August 11th. Pursuant to the directive of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicity, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
