On 10 August, 30 members of The Association for Military - TopicsExpress

On 10 August, 30 members of The Association for Military Remembrance (The Khaki Chums) will be attending an Anniversary parade at Waterloo Railway station in London. From there they will be entraining for Southampton where they intend to lay a wreath and hold a short service at the Old Contemptible memorial plaque at the entrance to dock gate 2. From there they will march to the Bargate and back to the train station for return to London. This is not a publicised event, it is being done purely in memory and remembrance of those who passed through Southampton docks in the early days of the Great War. The group will all be in Authentic British army uniform of 1914 and portraying many of the Regiments that boarded ships during that week. So if you are in Southampton that afternoon look out for them.
