On 15th August 1975 a movie released. A movie that went on to smash all previous records and till date remains the all-time favorite of many film lovers. However the strict Censors and Govt of those days (Emergency Time) disallowed the violent end and forced the makers to shoot an alternate ending where Gabbar Singh is spared by Thakur and handed over to the cops (Om Shivpuri etc), which we all have seen in movie. This is the original ending, in which thakur kills gabbar, that was shot but was never released on Indian screens!
