On 16 October 2014, at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Kyiv, Canadian Ambassador Roman Waschuk helped to introduce a new tool to boost investment in Ukraine – the “Online Investment Map”. This new tool will improve access for potential investors to core business and analytical information, including data about all investment sites in Ukraine, such as available land plots, industrial estate projects, logistics and transportation infrastructure. The map will also provide marketing tools for Ukrainian companies interested in foreign market access and export promotion. Ambassador Waschuk highlighted that “the Online Investment Map, developed jointly by the Canadian and Ukrainian experts, will provide practical opportunities to increase the investment attractiveness of Ukraine, including at the local level. It can become a business card for Ukraine in the investment world of the 21st century”. The “Online Investment Map,” was developed by Ukraine’s State Agency on Investment and National Projects and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities through its Municipal Local Economic Development (MLED) project.
