On 18th January 2015, an extensive panel of local media was invited to Primavera restaurant for the official press announcement of the partnership between Michelin Star Chef Oliver Glowig and The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel & Spa. Oliver Glowig is a renowed chef for Italian cuisine and started his culinary career in Germany where he received his first Michelin Star at the Acquarello restaurant in Munich. Shortly after, Oliver’s Michelin Star status was credited once again as he was awarded with the second Michelin Star and received 17/20 points from the Espresso Guide. In 2011, Oliver Glowig opened his own restaurant in Rome which after only a few months has been recognized with two Michelin Stars. During the introduction, Mr. Christian Zandonella, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel & Spa declared: “We are proud to set an agreement with Chef Oliver Glowig. His passion for Italian cuisine transpires in his work and will help Primavera set unprecedented benchmark in Bahrain culinary scene. While the legendary service of the Ritz-Carlton Ladies and Gentlemen remain the same, Primavera restaurant will provide Bahrain with a genuine, authentic, Italian dining experience, which we describe as Trattoria Moderna.” Oliver and the Primavera team have been introduced to more than 30 representatives from the media with a casual question & answer session followed by an interactive pasta cooking demonstration. The highlight of the event was the lunch where attendees could taste Chef Oliver’s delicious creations that will be part of the new menu, with the official re-launch of the restaurant due for the spring season, or “Primavera” in Italian.
