On 19 October Barry and Jackie Parsons from Oxford will be embarking on a journey of a lifetime, taking part in The Italian Job charity tour to Italy and back in their Rover Mini Cooper Sport. As part of Barry’s 50th Birthday celebrations they plan to drive their recently restored Classic Mini Cooper to Italy along with 100 other like-minded Mini enthusiasts. The Mini has been covered in stickers of various sponsors to raise funds for Variety, the Children’s Charity, which helps to improve the lives of sick and disadvantaged children. If you wish to sponsor the car see oxford2torino.org.uk/sponsor-the-car or you can help them reach their £1500 target by donating at justgiving/oxford2torino. The Italian Job is an annual event, which started in 1990 and over the years has raised over £2.5 million for children’s charities. Their motto has always been “Raising Money For Children In A Fun Way.”
