On 19th of November 2014 I have participated on the wefound* event where it was discussed if our mindset has an influence on our success. The event was hosted in the office of evernote. Among Speakers: Cristina Riesen, General Manager Europe at Evernote, Samih Sawiris, Chairman & CEO of Orascom Development Holding and Sunnie J. Groenveld, founder and CEO of Inspire 925 were present and have contributed to the inspiration and great discussion with the audience. Id like to share with you my insights of the speach of Samih Sawiris. -> Find your niche Competitors cause unnecessary stress. Being able to be the first in a long run is what contributes to success. Do what you are passionate about Do what you are passionate about; no one he knows has succeeded without passion in a long term. -> Belief in your idea If your idea is great you should go for it, no matter how silly it sounds and what other people are saying about it. Don’t let your idea die before it was born just because of the opinion of others. -> Choose right people Surround yourself with right people. By choosing a partner it is important to feel yourself comfortable while going for a beer and even making a trip on the ship with this person. -> Be persistent It is very important to be persistent. The line between persistence and being stubborn is very thin, but it’s better to end up being stubborn then to stop doing things.
