On 23rd December 2014 a Christmas celebration was held to bring in the festive season. The formal programme began with an introduction by the MC followed by Christmas carols by the College choir and a reading from the Bible. Prayers were offered for peace to prevail in the world. Mr Joeph Prem Saldanha, Convenor of the Christmas programme welcomed the gathering. The Chief Guest for the day was Rev Fr Victor Machado, Director of Pastoral Institute, Bajjodi, gave a meaningful message on how we should celebrate Christmas. Rev Fr Melwin Mendonca SJ, Principal of St Aloysius PU College in the Presidential address gave an inspiring message to students to make use of their potential and always be an agent of change. During the programme the second issue of ‘The Aloysian’ was released. Ms Nivya Rodrigues, Joint Secretary of our college rendered the vote of thanks. It was followed by carol singing, dance and Christmas tablo – a short Christmas play on Jesus was displayed.
