On 7/31/14 at 11:17pm, the manager of Jimmy’s Furniture, 26350 Hwy 72 E, reported a burglary. He observed a black male, wearing a dark shirt and shorts, come out of the store and was holding a large object. Lt Rhett McNatt was near this location, responded, and noticed at a house close to the business, a black male in the yard. Upon being approached by the deputy, the black male fled into a wooded area. Prison dogs were called out to assist in the search. During the search information collected from the scene revealed a possible suspect, Yousef Mohammed Abdi. Items missing from the business were found on the front porch at his residence on 26462 Hwy 72 E. After speaking with the residents, they advised that their son, Yousef, had left the residence at 10pm and had not been seen since. Hours later, the suspect was captured when he returned home. Yousef Abdi, 23 years old, was arrested for burglary and placed in the Limestone County Jail, with a bond revocation arrest pending on a previous burglary that the suspect committed.
