On 7th July, K9 Search UK were alerted to the theft of Lexi from Darlaston. Lexi was being walked by the owners relative, when he was accosted by a couple who snatched Lexi from him. When the relative gave chase the female of the couple pulled a knife and threatened the relative. On 9th July K9 John Bird & K9 Helen Bird saw a female walking the dog through the town centre. When challenged, the female claimed to have found the dog some days before and wanted to get rid. After some coaxing, she handed Lexi over to them. Later we were able to establish that the female was actually the person that had taken Lexi initially and the same person that pulled out the knife. The female, handed herself into the local police and she was charged. Sharrna Bird appeared in court earlier this month, where she pleaded guilty to all charges. She was given an 18 week custodial which was suspended for 12 months. Under the supervision order she is required to attend a program to tackle why she committed the crime. She has to pay £85.00 costs, £100 compensation and a surcharge of £80. Heres Lexi with John Bird.
