On 9/10/01, Sec.Of Defense Rumsfeld revealed that the Pentagon could not account for $2.3 trillion. Since its budget is about $550 billion, that means 5 years of Pentagon budgets had evaporated. Thats equal to one year of total government receipts. Very careless? Should we trust our defense to those who cant put 2 and 2 together? As it turns out, the Office of Naval Intelligence had been assigned the task of finding $2.3 trillion. Apparently its easy to hide that much money. By an amazing coincidence, the part of the Pentagon that was struck on 9/11 included the Office of Naval Intelligence. Those poor Pentagon patsies just can not get a break. Obviously, they need audits by the IRS. Theyll find every penny of that money. Meanwhile, the U.S. Will find every petty thief and send him to jail for years to prove theft will not be tolerated . . . At least in small amounts.
