On 9 September, I started a long journey from north-east Syria to Aleppo in the west of the country. From there I move with further buses over Asia Minor to Europe. On the morning of September 10th, I had a layover and had to take another bus shortly after the Syrian border in the city of Antioch (Antakya) in Turkey. The photo here is from this morning. On September 11, I woke up in Constantinople in a small hotel near the Hagia Sophia. It was still dark outside and I wanted to set up my Mini-Disc(!) recorder and my microphone to record the sound of the Muezzins call in the morning calm. I have not heard this recording again since then.
