On April 14th over 230 Nigerian school girls were kidnapped from their private school. A Nigerian Islamic terrorist group has claimed the act stating western education is haram meaning a sin. The terrorist group vows to sell the girls as slaves for as little as $12 each. There are millions of humans being trafficked across the world predominantly women & little girls which is horrifying. As a Nigerian American, a father of a 8 year old precious little girl, and a concerned citizen of the world I cant fathom such an atrocity nor the rational behind it. This is a harsh reminder that there are still those in the world that do not believe in the pursuit of happiness and freedom of all the worlds inhabitants, and there are still modern countries that cant handle dire situations like this. The Nigerian government doesnt know whereabouts of the girls, additionally frightening this incident happened over two weeks ago, time is of the essence.
