On April 17, 2014 Officers William Brock and Julie Humble, without reservation, jumped into the frigid waters of Maywood Lake to save a seven year old child and her grandmother. Because of their heroic act, these two officers saved two lives that night. Mayor Scott Phillips, the Board of Aldermen, Chief of Police Don Gammage, the Command Staff, and all of us at the Olive Branch Police Department would like to thank these officers for their service and heroism they showed that night. Mayor Phillips and Chief Gammage presented Officer Brock and Officer Humble with the Medal of Valor, Tuesday, August 5th, at the Olive Branch Municipal Court building.
