On April Fools Day, I always enjoy remembering the time I played the best prank ever on my father. I was a Freshman in college and I called to tell him that I was in jail because they found pot in my room (blamed it on my roommate Tonya Troske) and Id been expelled and was awaiting trial in the county jail. He bought it, utterly and completely, and I went on for the better part of 30 minutes describing details of how the bust went down and how they were treating me poorly and how itll be on my record and no school would ever take me again...and he was so upset and sad (not angry, because he pulled crap like that on my Grandparents his whole life.) Finally, I just got tired so I came clean and told him it was April Fools Day...he laughed so incredibly hard, yelling YOU GOT ME, BABY! YOU REALLY, REALLY GOT ME! And we laughed a good long time about it. So, if youre in college and reading this, go prank your parents....but only if they can take a joke :)
