On August 1, 1981, I opened my firm, MELODYservice. Its been a glorious 33 years, filled with wonderful clients, wonderful experiences and wonderful memories. I survived when others failed because I kept commitments and never over promised. Just kept my word and delivered what I said I would -- plus 10% more. As I reflect on this great run, I thank all of those who supported me along the way through their patronage or words of encouragement. I did it through hard work, passion and by remaining a woman of integrity and honor. I also thank my late parents who tried to persuade me to remain in the teaching profession (glad I didnt give in) but who also came around and became my biggest cheerleaders. Not a day goes by when I dont think of them. Now Im about ready to put the pen away, put the computer on permanent sleep and scratch off all of my wishes on my bucket list. Last year, I did the helicopter ride. Later this year, Cuba. But no, I dont have jumping out of a plane as part of my list. I like to take risks, but I aint crazy.
