On August 30, 2014, the annual Harwich Police Association Jail - TopicsExpress

On August 30, 2014, the annual Harwich Police Association Jail House Barbecue was held in front of the Harwich Public Safety Building. An estimated 900 of our residents, town selectmen, and summer visitors came to this event to meet the police officers that serve you, along with members of the Harwich Police Association. This year, one of our newer officers Brendon Brickley and soon to be newest officers Thomas Griffiths and Tegan DeBaggis, along with our new Town Administrator Christopher Clark were officially welcomed by our citizens in the most dramatic way, by taking turns in our dunk tank. The children were able to have “mug shots” taken, sit in the police vehicles, bounce around of an inflatable, take part in a child ID program, have their faces painted, and pet farm animals. The success of this event would not have been possible without the support of the following: The Harwich Fire Association, Harwich Police Association, George’s Fish Market, 400 East Restaurant, Stop and Shop, Break Away Grill, Monomoy School District, Harwich/Chatham Girl Scouts, Leo Cakounes, the Harwich Highway Department and the families of our police officers.. As is evident by the number of people and agencies that came forth to help, this was truly a community event. We thank all that attended and look forward to seeing you next year. Thomas A Gagnon David Jacek - Sergeant / Lieutenant Harwich Police Association President
