On Christmas Eve night /Christmas morning at around 2 30 am I became that gobshite on the couch with a computer on his lap full of negativity and I wrote a facebook post and hit the post key and demeaned a lot of great people.. I wanted to write something about traditional music on tv and negativity and ill will towards the tv show Bosca Ceoil is what appeared. Facebook for me has always been a forum for positivity toward music of all genres and every time I reread my post i got a bad feeling in the gut because I had seen Bosca Ceoil and had enjoyed it.. My post that night said more about my inadequacies as a person and maybe as a musician than it did about anything else. A hundred musicians who have devoted their lives completely to the music and maybe twenty great people working hours and monthe and maybe a year on getting it right on production and there is the negative gobshite on the couch moaning... I went back over a few episode s of Bosca Ceoil since I posted and I saw great music people and lots of smiling faces enjoying the tunes and I saw lots of friends who I hold in high esteem.. I looked at it , not as a miserable couch musician ,but thought how younger music lovers might see it and I knew Enda Scahill was right when he said to me that many of us hear certain music that can sometimes lead us on to enjoying Bobby Casey or Tony Mc Mahon...I saw joy and Pauline Scanlon is the Irish Jools Holland introducing great music to us and long life to Bosca Ceoil and all who sail with her Anyway I was wrong and I am sorry..
