On Dec 22, Dads doctors called us in for a meeting. He was in a trajectory that was leading towards demise. He stopped making pee, he stopped breathing, he had a temp of 106, he couldt keep his blood pressure up, he was in septic shock.... The doctors said that he has sepsis again, and this time it had come back with a stronger defense and they have no antibiotics or medicine that can treat him. He also has Pnuemonia, a blood clot in his left leg, and from being on heprin for the blood clot he is bleeding from his stomach and they cant control it. The doctors wanted us to make a decision that day regarding to let dad go or continue with treatment. We decided that day we would continue with the treatment and fighting. But the doctors want us to come back after the holidays and make a choice regarding his care, they are saying the end result is demise and that nothing they can do will change that. This has been a very difficult Christmas for us, we cant find our Christmas joy. We know that God is in control and we just need to pray and seek his face. We ask everyone to please keep us( Jake, Spencer, Bailee, My Mother, My dads siblings, My dads parents! Esp my Memaw) in your prayers as well as my Dad and his doctors. Today dad is on a lower vent setting, he is more alert, he is off the medicine that makes his BP stay up. his WBC is 15. Please just keep all of us in your prayers, this Christmas season has been one that has turned all of our world upside down. We are coming together as a family to make this decision, it is so hard. Please, please, please keep us in your prayers. Thank you everyone in advance. I hope all have a very Merry Chrsitmas, enjoy your loved ones, because we are not promised tomorrow.
