On December 15th, 2014, we were invited by Don Woodstock, a well known Winnipeg community activist to Attorney General Andrew Swans constituency office in order to confront him on an issue with one of his constituents who Swan has largely ignored over the last few years. We will bring you that report soon, but something that stood out during this routine confrontation of the Attorney General was that Josh Sigurdson struck a nerve with him. He asked Josh to stop filming and eventually asked him to leave. Josh has spoken with the attorney general before during a Manitoba Legislative Building open house, and Mr.Swan was not so embittered. Politicians are public servants and clearly politicians in Manitoba have shown themselves to not be used to people coming up to them with video cameras. That needs to change. We are citizen journalism for prairie truth. We tell the stories of those who arent heard. When a politician puts themselves in the position to be confronted over a matter, they should not be so surprised when a citizen asks for answers. We left the constituency office not because the attorney general asked us to but because we didnt want to disturb the many elderly folks visiting the office as well.
