On December 1st my friend Jim Bernardi owner of Auto Pro called me checking up on me. He knew we were going through some transitions with our service dept and he wanted to see how things were going. I told him we had just hired a new master tech that started today (Dec 1). He said great then youre ready for me.. we need to get your service department kicked off to the right start for 2015. I told him I knew I needed his services & expertise but it just wasnt a good time to come out- its the slowest time of our year, cash flow is tight and I just wasnt in a position to afford him right now. He said NO worries, Im coming, were going to build your service dept from the ground up! ... Christ guides our path my brother He said hed be here for a week. I told him to come on Id put him up somewhere. Two days later he was on his way. Somewhere along the way he decided one week wasnt enough. He needed two weeks to spend time with our Father to build my action plan. And We are going to be huge at Midgette Auto Supercenter! He arrived at the dealership Monday morning and attended out sales meeting . I invited all the staff and he spoke to everyone sharing what his vision was for the dealership particularly the Service Dept. He got everyone pumped up & inspired. The entire energy of the dealership shifted that day! He worked one on one with our service staff implementing processes, streamlining & simplifying everything about our service operation. He changed the focus of how our staff views service. He provided reports, logs & matrix to track, manage & improve productivity, efficiency & profitability without compromising our goal of taking care of our customer and treating everyone as we would want to be treated. He was right here bell to bell overseeing training and counseling our service staff in every aspect of the automotive service business. I cant say enough about his passion wisdom and desire to help others succeed. I am so grateful to have had him here 2 weeks. My staff has had nothing but wonderful things to say about him. Thanks for all you have done Jim and thanks for being a great friend! What a class act!
