On December 3rd, the Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) Act - TopicsExpress

On December 3rd, the Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) Act passed the House with strong bipartisan support (404 to 17). Yesterday, the bill passed the Senate 76 to 16. I have been a proud supporter of this legislation, which the President will soon sign into law. The ABLE Act empowers millions of Americans with disabilities to live better lives. Currently, families with disabilities must use post-tax dollars for their disability-related expenses. The ABLE Act creates tax-free savings accounts, helping affected families and individuals get more bang for their buck. I want to thank my colleagues Congressman Ander Crenshaw, Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers, and Pete Sessions for their hard work on this bill!
