On Defining God’s Worker By: Rionel “2tet” Belen Caldo True Christians saved by grace through the precious blood of JESUS CHRIST, who died on the cross for the salvation of our sins, ought to serve Him in gratitude and in love. However, most of these people are misled. It was due to the fact that individual ministries are swallowing their potentials of bringing them to maturity and service. Most of them believed that when their talents are used during Sunday Service through hosting, dancing, singing and playing musical instruments, they are already in service to God. In some way, they are indeed serving the LORD. However, the thoughts of God are not our thoughts. We should give Him beyond what He had given us. But, how can we do that? We actually don’t have anything to offer Him. We don’t even own our life, our talents and even our possessions. But, there is one thing we could give Him. It is deciding to work for Him. Work is far different from Ministry. Christians may all be called as ministers, but they can’t all be called as workers. The term worker is as good as serving the LORD through cell leading and discipleship. More than our gift and talents, we are using deep understanding, obedience, faith, humility, righteousness in doing God’s work. For us to secure our salvation, True Christians are taught not to work for people, but to work for God. More than a Nipa hut in the kingdom of God, we should strive for mansions made of gold and diamond. We should always remember that, “It is not how much efforts you give in your ministry, but how much work you give to serve GOD and HIS people.” MORE THAN A MINISTER, WE SHOULD BE GOD’S WORKER. relijournal/christianity/on-defining-gods-worker/
