On False Teachers... Its clear from the Bible that there will be false teachers among us. It just trips me out when that when people actually point out a false teacher, others decide to defend. They tell you to not worry about what theyre doing, and that the Bible says you shouldnt publicly say things about your brother but in private. But the problem is that wolves are not brothers, so that doesnt apply. But the faithful watchmen get called judgmental and non-Christlike for refuting lies with truth. Shai Linne said it best, Today, the only heresy is claiming that theres heresy. We see there is such thing as heretics in the Bible, but many of us dont live or think like thats possible in our life and experience. Did you think that the false teachers would come with pitch forks, red eyes, and horns on their heads? I mean, there are some that are just blatantly false and you can see from a mile away. But then the Bible speaks of those who crept in unaware. How can someone creep in? Surely it wont be with a big fat sign that says IM A FALSE TEACHER! JESUS IS NOT THE SON OF GOD. Of course not. Thats too easy to spot. It will be subtle. So for a moment, lets consider that there are actually false teachers that walk the earth (since the Bible says so), and not assume theyre all blatantly and obviously evil. Lets assume that the devil is actually clever enough to have a disguise. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.
