On Friday, 7 February 2014, Australia’s second and final Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) NUSHIP Adelaide will complete its 10,000 nautical mile trip by sailing into Port Phillip Bay. From approx 0600 the Heavy Lift Ship MV Blue Marlin with NUSHIP Adelaide onboard will sail through the heads in Port Phillip Bay after an eight week voyage from Ferrol, Spain. MV Blue Marlin will then sail to Patricks Webb dock where it will remain alongside for three days whilst the sea fastenings are removed.
