On Friday I am sharing my secret of fulfillment: There is no patented recipe for happiness. The individuals who happily move through life have not always been blessed with lives of wealth, love, success, and prosperity. However such people have been blessed with the ability to take the circumstances in their stride and turn them into something great. Our individual life stories are tinged by perception—sadness and happiness come from within rather than outside. Situations we regard as lucky please us while situations we judge unholy cause us heaps of grief. If we can look at all we have accomplished without lamenting over perceived misfortune and accept each circumstance as our own, the world becomes a brighter place. A simple shift in attitude can help us identify and unearth the hidden potential for personal fulfillment in every event, every relationship, every duty, and every setback. One just has to accept each calamity as a new lesson from life.
