On Friday, I had an appointment with my doctor. She is around 40, married with two small kids, and is a graduate from U.C.L.A. Medical School. She is sharp and thorough and was born in North India. All my tests came back good. She wanted to know more about what I do in ministry. She remarked that I was very polite, and that I reminded her of the missionaries she and her family had encountered in India. She said I would not be a doctor without them. They gave me an education, taught me English and expanded my world. We talked about the Church for almost 30 minutes. She is not a Christian but her encounter with believers has left her heart open to the gospel. To the missionaries in North India and elsewhere, Well done. Keep planting those seeds.
