On Friday, I posted my feelings about comments that could be perceived as judgmental when it comes to taking biologics or other medications to treat Crohns. A few of you mentioned something that I would like to bring up because I agree with you very, very strongly. Some people will post that they cant imagine waking up with an ostomy or hope they never have to have a bag like its a fate worst than death which is utter bullshit. This is really insensitive to the many IBDers who have an ostomy. We dont usually see those comments on our page, but will delete them if we do. If you want to ask questions about living with an ostomy, that is great. Marisa is amazing and patient. I, for one, know so many dynamic people who have an ostomy whose lives have improved after their surgery. We wont let this page be a place where those folks are made to feel less than by careless comments of any kind. ~ Christina
