On Friday, January 2, 2015 something rather remarkable happened at St. Michaels Orthodox Church in Binghamton, NY. The choir of Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church of Binghamton participated in a Christmas Choral concert of local eastern Christian parishes. Present were choirs from the ACROD parishes, the UOC parish, the OCA parish and the Greek along with the Byzantine Catholic..The choir director of Holy Spirit made the poignant comment that as he stood at the amvon to direct his choir he realized that in 1937 his parents stood at that very spot as they were married, the year before the split in the parish was finalized.
