On Friday May 23, one of our track and field coaches, Coach Ed DeGeeter was accidentally struck in the head by a shot put during the warm-ups of the IHSA Sectional Track meet in Elgin. He was taken to the hospital where he has been receiving treatment for his injuries. He is doing well and is expected to make a full recovery. The Marmion Community greatly appreciates the outpouring of support, well-wishes, and prayers on behalf of Coach DeGeeter. We ask that you continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers and respect the privacy of him and his family during his recovery.
