On January 1, 1945 a baby was born, the son a teenage girl, and a product of rape. He was given up for adoption and that teenage girl moved forward with her life, eventually married, had a family and thought often of the baby that her “mama wouldn’t let [her] keep.” Sixty-five years later that baby boy was finally successful in finding his birth mother and the reunion that followed was filled with emotion, the releasing of secrets, and completely beautiful!
