On January 10th, a tragedy befell the historic Thayers Inn, the building we called home for years. Weve been really busy preparing our announcement, and now were ready to announce our new plans to the world. You may have heard were moving to a new location, and we want you to hear it from the owners of the space were inheriting: Wayne and Lisa Morello of the Oasis, in Littleton. Although we have no date set in stone, were hoping to have our new Littleton location open by Memorial Day. Heres Wayne and Lisas statement, we couldnt say it much better than this, except were very proud and excited to be inheriting such a fine legacy, and were looking forward to making a home in Littleton once again! To our loyal customers: The Italian Oasis opened in 1992 and has been a part of Littleton’s Main Street, a place to gather for good food and drink, since then. Sadly, today we announce our restaurant will be closing effective May 1st. We’ve built a family here at the “O” for the past twenty plus years and it is with heavy hearts that we are moving on. We’ve done our best throughout the years to build a family-friendly restaurant where people could bring their families, and enjoy a night out on the town. It has been a model that has served us well over two decades. Last year, the historic Thayers Inn flooded, effectively closing it down until further notice. This tragedy displaced another business in Littleton that was becoming a local fixture in its own right: Bailiwicks. Recently, the opportunity was presented to us to sell the restaurant to Bailiwicks, and as we had an exit strategy in place for the next couple years, this was a golden opportunity that we couldn’t let pass us by. Steve and Stacey, the owners of Bailiwicks, will be taking over the restaurant effective May 1st. There are no words to express what our customers, friends, and family have meant to us over the years. We will remain active in the community and look forward to seeing Bailiwicks take over our legacy. We sincerely thank you for all your support throughout the years.
