On January 2, 2015 at 3:15pm Officers and detectives of the North Adams Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on route 2 by the Cumberland Farms on a red Saturn SL2 operated by Benjamin Mita. As a result of the motor vehicle stop the North Adams K9 “Chuck” was deployed to search the vehicle for any illegal narcotics. Present in the motor vehicle were Mita, Terrance Levesque, Taryn Levesque, Ronald Schneider, and Toni Clifford all of North Adams. The K9 alerted on the rear seat of the vehicle where 180 bags of heroin were located. After a search of the vehicle, Officers located Tramadol 50mg prescription pills in Schneider’s jacket as well as other drug paraphernalia. A search of all persons present resulted in another 157 bags of heroin found on Clifford. Clifford and Schneider were arrested and transported to the North Adams Police Department. The other occupants of the vehicle will be receiving similar charges in the future.
