On January 22nd , 2015, Agents assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Metro Division closed an investigation involving the sale of crack cocaine and methamphetamine from a house in Alexandria. Agents working from anonymous tips, opened the investigation several weeks ago. Surveillance was conducted which lead to the obtaining of a search warrant for 5141 Prescott Road, Alexandria, LA. Agents served the warrant and found the suspect, identified as Perice Lamar Phillips 1st, in the front yard. Phillips was advised of his rights informed of the warrant. Agents located 6 crack cocaine “rocks” in his vehicle along with approximately half a gram of methamphetamine. After a search of the residence, Agents located 2 ½ “cookies” of crack cocaine and approximately 1 ounce of methamphetamine were seized. Phillips was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center where he was later released on $20,000.00 bond. The methamphetamine was valued at $2,900.00 and the crack cocaine was valued at $4,150.00.
