On January 5, Major Rafal Zgryziewicz joined the NATO StratCom COE as a military expert in the Doctrine, Concept and Experimentation Branch. Major Rafal Zgryziewicz was born in Rypin, Poland, where he graduated secondary school in 1996 and entered the Officers Academy of Artillery in Torun. After four years he received a diploma in management and leadership engineering and was promoted to the first officer’s rank. He started his first assignment in the Centre of Artillery in Torun. During this period he was also a liaison officer for the Greek Military Representative during the Informal Meeting of the NATO Ministry of Defense. In 2001 he finished the British Military Advisory and Training Team Course in Vyskov, Czech Republic. Shortly after he was assigned to the 1st Mazurian Artillery Brigade in Wegorzewo, Poland and served there as a public affairs and staff officer at brigade level. In 2007 he graduated the National Defense Academy in Warsaw, receiving a Master’s degree in Management of Internet Technology. In 2007 he was selected to the Polish Psychological Operation Central Group where he deployed twice in 2009 and 2012 as the commander of the Regional Psychological Support Element for Polish Task Force White Eagle in Afghanistan. Throughout of his service, he completed many specialized courses at the national and NATO level.
