On July 25, 2013 at 9:34 PM, Cpl. MIke Slattery and Ofc. Rob Heim responded to a suspicious person in the area of Level Road and Arcola Road in the Collegeville section of Lower Providence Township. Upon arrival, the officers encountered the male suspect foaming at the mouth and yelling, "I am Satan." He was shirtless and wearing a cape while holding a pair of scissors. The suspect charged the officers and was engaged with a Taser, which had little effect. The suspect then attempted to flee and was apprehended after a brief struggle. It was later determined that the suspect had taken four doses of acid prior to the incident. The suspect was transported to the hospital for treatment and faces numerous criminal charges. Both officers did a great job and showed incredible restraint. Nice work!
