On July 30, 2014, after reading an article in a Liberian newspaper, I submitted the following request to several movers & shakers in the US Government, prominent journalists, members of the clergy, etc. Today (October 11,2014), I am quite pleased to see that several celebrities have taken up the fight against EBOLA: True leadership requires ACTION! While the leaders of the African nations affected with the EBOLA virus have not yet made a PUBLIC APPEAL to The United States Center for Disease Control (CDC) and similar international healthcare organizations for support: (guidance, insight, logistics, finance, manpower, etc.), it is in the global community’s interest to engage quickly and strategically to prevent this deadly disease from spreading and becoming an epidemic.. I propose that you use your good office to alert the US government to intervene to address this crisis which is currently set to decimate ECOWAS nations with the potential to become a global healthcare nightmare which could make the Bubonic Plague seem like child’s play. Sometimes appealing to those with expertise is the best and only viable option. liberianobserver/news/%E2%80%98i-am-far-being-tired%E2%80%99 Regards, Preston Williams III
