On June 3, 2014, Everett August Arndt was welcomed into the world by his loving parents, Jon Arndt and St. John’s member Emmie (Solofra) Arndt. Soon after his birth Everett was welcomed into God’s family via holy baptism. The Arndt and Solofra families enjoyed a day filled with love, memories, and praises to our all-knowing Father before Everett was welcomed into heaven on June 4, 2014. Both of Everett’s parents attended Shoreland Lutheran High School, where they continued to learn about their Lord. It was their knowledge of God’s Grace and their faith in His timing that led Emmie and Jon to carry Everett to term and to have him baptized. That same knowledge and faith now comforts them as they look forward to the day they will see their son again. Because of the impact that Shoreland has had on both of Everett’s parents, and in an effort to help others receive the same education and faith building, we would like to start the Everett August Arndt Memorial Scholarship.
