On June 8th I will be leaving Brazil and moving to Quebec, Canada :) Thats the news in a nutshell. Below, if youre interested, is a long summary of my time in Brazil, why Im going to Quebec, and some more.. updates ;) *** When I was moving from Texas to Hawaii in 2010, I had it in my heart that I would go to Hawaii, then Brazil, then do the Harvest Mission School in Mozambique and spend a short time in that region of Africa, and live in a French speaking country. After that, the map includes many places such as Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, India and Europe, but so far Jesus is leaving the order in which they will come as a surprise :) Throughout the last 3 1/2 years, several confirmations have given me certainty that this map in my heart was the voice of God, and I am so excited for what He has planned for the next chapter! When I came to Brazil in December of 2012, I didnt know what the heck I was going to do here. I just knew Jesus asked me to come and I expected him to know the plan. I came independently without any church or organization backing me, but He took care of me every step of the way and it all worked out amazingly. Soon before I moved here, Todd Gantt shared with me a prophetic word in which he saw a very detailed vision of a rider on a horse with a bow and arrow (or a spear, I dont remember exactly) and he was aiming for a target. The tip of the arrow was a very detailed and exact shape, designed to fit perfectly like a puzzle piece into the hole in the target, which had the same corresponding shape. He said, Youre not the rider, Jesus is. Youre the arrow. I kept remembering that word as I travelled through the states of Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, and arrived in São Paulo. Thank you Jesus that I am your arrow, you brought me to Brazil, and you are sending me to the exact target that you chose for me and chose me for (a few other people had also prophesied similar things about me being sent like an arrow or a spear). When I arrived in São Paulo, I got a message on facebook from someone I didnt know yet (@Gustavo Gouveia) who lives in São Paulo. He invited me to go to Ilhabela with him, his sister @Bruna Gouveia and their friends (great trip!). When we got back, his mom told me that God told her to let me live with them. Long story short, I lived with them for 3 months and they treated me wonderfully! During those 3 months Jesus poured his love out and began a work that He is continuing to this day! I appreciate the Gouveia family so much :) I left after three months because when I arrived in SP I found the target, who I now call family. Long story short, @Yara Araujo and I had one mutual friend in California and I ended up ministering to her over skype. Her, Haroldo, and their two daughters were here in Curitiba, Paraná, and I visited them in March of 2013. Jesus began doing so many amazing things that I cant even begin to tell you! In June, after the 3 months in São Paulo, I moved here to Curitiba to live with them. While I was in São Paulo, Yara and I would pray together over skype practically everyday and Jesus would speak to us through tongues and interpretation.. He told us then that I was her teacher, although he hinted that his purpose in our lives ran way deeper than that. After moving here, He told me personally that I was more than just her teacher, but her spiritual father. Jesus had already told us that he was giving her two daughters to me as my little sisters (answering a prayer that I prayed for years as a child haha), so in the natural, it makes no sense, with me being much younger than her and her daughers being my little sisters and all.. but it in the Spirit, it makes perfect sense :) I kind of let that revelation grow in my heart at first, not really fully knowing what to make of it. Then a few weeks later when I was praying in tongues and she was listening, I could tell by looking at her that Jesus had just told her who I was haha. She didnt want to say it at first, but I was like, Just spit it out, I already know what youre going to say haha. She was, understandably, very uncomfortable with the idea at first, (imagine being a mom and then some 22 year old kid shows up and God tells you Hes your spiritual father.. It takes a lot of humility to accept something like that!), and it was strange for me to. But afterward our angels were like, Finally! Weve been asking Jesus when it would be time for you guys to find out! And after several months of learning to relate to each other as father and daughter, and being taught by Jesus what it really means, we are now best friends and it feels strange to think of each other in any other way. Anyways.. I got her permission to share this.. so Im really excited to announce that I came to Brazil and ACHEI MINHA FILHA! Now, about Quebec. Early after moving in with my Brazilian family, they told me about how they were going through the process to immigrate to Quebec. I pondered that and Jesus started speaking to me personally about it being the French-speaking country I already had in my heart, until eventually we were all certain that I would go with them too. In January of this year we got the news that the government was now ready for them to enter in the final stage of the process. Now the legal process is complete. So, my mission in Brazil is coming to a close (although Brazil will always be part of my life). He truly brought me to another country specifically for one family (although many others have been touched as well) and now He has not only brought us together but He has knit our hearts together. This time in Brazil has been full of miracles, revelations, and most importantly, heart-transformation. The journey continues, and the next chapter begins in Quebec! June 8th we will leave Curitiba for Montreal, Quebec, and I will stay there for a while as we go through the steps of beginning a new life. I expect that I will go to Mozambique and South Africa in 2015 and then come back to Quebec, which will be my next mission field for a few years. Thank you for your support!
