On March 22, 1961, Dr. Eric Williams of Trinidad delivered one of the most powerful speeches by an Afrikan during the 20th century. Massa Day Done triggered the Black Power Movement in the Caribbean and indicted the european powers for exploiting Afrikans in that region for centuries by enslaving and colonizing them. It resonated among Trinidadians, Jamaicans and other Caribbean Afrikans. Here is the original speech that should be read by Afrikans everywhere, since much of what Williams said still rings true today.
