On March 27, the law hour speaker is Dr. David Doorey: Dr. Doorey is a professor of labour and employment law at York University. He is Academic Director of Osgoode Hall Law Schools professional LLM in labour and employment law, and Articles Review Editor for the Canadian Labour and Employment Law Journal. He publishes in the fields of labour and employment law, legal theory, and corporate social responsibility. He is a recipient of the Morley Gunderson Award for outstanding contribution to Canadian industrial relations, and the Fodden Award for the Best Law Blog in Canada (Law of Work). Professor Doorey was called to the Bars of Ontario and British Columbia and practiced labour law in both provinces before returning to academia, lastly as Canadian legal counsel to the United Steelworkers. He is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School (J.D., Ph.D), L.S.E. (LL.M), and University of Toronto (B.A., M.I.R.).
