On May 12, 2014 at approximately 8:41 AM, Mount Union Police investigated a motor vehicle crash on South Jefferson Street at West Market Street. A 2006 Pontiac operated by Christopher Flasher traveling north on South Jefferson Street was struck by a 2004 Kia operated by Carmen Torres. There was minor damage to both vehicles, and no injuries were reported in the crash. On May 12, 2014 at approximately 8:56 AM, Mount Union Police investigated a report of harassment on West Poplar Street. All parties were warned to cease contact with one another. On May 12, 2014 at approximately 4:57 PM, Mount Union Police investigated a report of harassing text messages on West Market Street. On May 12, 2014 at approximately 9:03 PM, Mount Union Police investigated a report of suspicious activity on South Jefferson Street. On May 12, 2014 at approximately 10:00 PM, Mount Union Police investigated a report of loud noise in the area of East Chestnut Street. On May 12, 2014 at approximately 11:00 PM, Mount Union Police investigated a report of a park rules violation on West Market Street. A group was warned that the Borough Park was closed for the night. On May 12, 2014 at approximately 11:15 PM, Mount Union Police investigated a report of suspicious activity on North Division Street. On May 13, 2014 at approximately 12:05 AM, Mount Union Police investigated a report of a fight on West Shirley Street. The involved parties had fled the area. On May 13, 2014 at approximately 1:00 AM, Mount Union Police investigated a loud domestic argument on West Shirley Street. The argument was determined to be verbal in nature, and the parties were separated and calmed down. The parties were then warned by police. On May 13, 2014 at approximately 1:25 AM, Mount Union Police investigated a report of a person trying to break into a vehicle on West Shirley Street. The person was determined to be the owner of the vehicle who had lost his keys. On May 13, 2014 at approximately 2:25 AM, Mount Union Police investigated the sound of gunfire coming from an unknown area. The source of the reported noises was not located. On May 13, 2014 at approximately 8:06 AM, Mount Union Police investigated a two vehicle crash that occurred at the intersection of South Jefferson Street and West Market Street. A 2002 Pontiac operated by Marilyn Hamman was traveling north on South Jefferson Street when it was struck by a 1989 Pontiac operated by Clarence Minium who was proceeding east through the stop sign on West Market Street. The Minium vehicle was towed from the scene, and no injuries were reported in the crash. On May 13, 2014 at approximately 8:09 AM, Mount Union Police assisted the Fire Company with an incident on East Shirley Street. On May 13, 2014 at approximately 11:31 AM, Mount Union Police investigated a neighbor dispute on West Market Street. The argument was determined to be verbal in nature, and over a parking issue. A vehicle was moved, and no further incidents were reported. On May 13, 2014 at approximately 5:44 PM, Mount Union Police investigated a report of suspicious activity on South Washington Street. On May 13, 2014 at approximately 9:10 PM, Mount Union Police investigated a report of harassment. The incident was determined to have taken place outside of the Borough of Mount Union and was referred to the Pennsylvania State Police. On May 13, 2014 at approximately 11:46 PM, Mount Union Police investigated a report of suspicious activity on North Division Street. Several individuals were identified and told to leave the area.
