On May 25th, 2012 Arepa Mía opened its doors to serve what my interpretation of my mothers cooking was when I was a little girl back in Venezuela, 16 years ago I came to this country and later I started missing my Venezuelan cuisine; so for 16 years thought of opening a Venezuelan restaurant and bringing what I was missing from back home. The food in Arepa Mia is inspired by my country Venezuela and my trips around different countries around the world. It is amazing to me that Atlanta became the place where my dream that I had years ago will become my home and the place where I can cook for my friends. Yes, each of you has been a part of this dream. I want to continue to cook for my friends.. And to continue to do so now soon we are going to be opening a place in Decatur. I will be cooking special dishes from around different regions of my country with the help of friends that still live there. We are very excited about this project. Eso creo es lo que hace Arepa Mía súper especial. También me gusta apoyar nuestras granjas locales.
