On May 28th 2014, the final of the European Jazz Contest will be held in Maastricht for the second consecutive year. In AINSI, four jazz bands will be competing for the first prize: producing a CD, including promotion, at the independent label Jazz Collection, Italy. The winning band will also get the possibility to play on the Jazz Maastricht Festival 2015. The evening starts at 20:30. The event is organised by the Maastricht Academy of Music, the Saint Louis College of Music in Rome and AINSI/Theater aan het Vrijthof. Jazz bands from various countries applied to take part in this prestigious European Jazz Contest.
