On Monday, 107 teachers from the YILO KROBO MUNICIPALITY OF THE GHANA EDUCATION SERVICE, who have not received their salaries for the past 3 months and beyond moved on the municipal headquarters of the GES to find out as to why they have been deprived of their hard earned salaries.... The GES directorate in their defence, directed them to the municipal AUDIT service.. At the municipal audit services offices, They were told the director was at a meeting and could not meet them.. Yesterday, they descended on the AUDIT service headquarters, Accra and they were told that they have received the audited report on them but the only problem was that the report in not in SOFT COPIES and that they were having problems working with the hard copies... It must also be noted that they were also informed that the cheques for the back pay of all those who were payed for only 3 months has been fully paid by the ministry of finance but without the audited report, the control and accountant general department could not and would not effect payment.. They were then advised to go back to their municipal audit service office to collect SOFT COPIES and bring it to the audit headquarters for easy processing, confirmation and onward transmission to the controller general....hmmmmmm From the above, its so easy to note that its thesystem and not the government which is withholding the salaries of many civil servants.. Am told the scenes at the controller general and audit service offices was so tensed and agitated... Let those placed in supervisory roles do their work well.. If that somebody in charge at the Audit services headquarters had instructed his subordinates at the municipality level to prepare his audited reports in soft copies, i dont believe or think there would have been this outcry all over... Am even told that there were assured of receiving all their salaries by the end of December if they could have their soft copies ready by Friday.... You see why i suspect SABOTAGE ???? # CRACK THE WHIP PLEASE #
