On Monday, April 14, 2014 at approximately 0415 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles in the vicinity of South Conduit Avenue and Brookville Boulevard, within the confines of the 105 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a 2014 white Infinity sedan (vehicle #1), operated by a 28-year-old female, was travelling eastbound on the Belt Parkway, between Springfield Boulevard and Merrick Boulevard, when she rear ended vehicle #2, a 2012 Mercedes, operated by an 18-year-old male. The Infinity then overturned in the vicinity of South Conduit Avenue and Brookville Boulevard. EMS responded to the location and transported the 18-year-old male to Franklin General Hospital in stable condition and both occupants of the Infinity to Jamaica Hospital, where the passenger, a 29-year-old male, was pronounced DOA. The operator of vehicle #1, treated in stable condition, was taken into custody with charges pending. The investigation is ongoing.
